Can I claim rental vehicle excess insurance if I was not the driver?

If you took out a Rental Vehicle Excess Pack and need to claim, you can only claim if you were the driver at the time of accident. 

So if the car rental agreement was shared, but you hold the travel insurance policy and the second driver is not listed on your policy, you won't be able to claim.

The rental car driver and the policy holder must be the same person.
